This is not for everyone but if you are up for a little adventure we have some of the best campsites in the country. There is something special about camping even if you step out of your comfort zone just for one night and experience being completely surrounded by the sounds and peacefulness of nature.

Our camping trips are by no means roughing. Yes you might sleep in a tent one night but you will be on elevated wooded platforms next to the beautiful Pacuare River.  We don’t ask for you to do much except to just relax and enjoy nature. The idea of you enjoying this experience is to really soak in the moment and that’s why we take care of all the details. We prepare your meals, we have all camping equipment set up upon arrival, and the following day there is no breaking down of your gear or anything of such. Since you will not be spending weeks in the jungle it only makes sense that you use every moment to enjoy it and leave the rest up to us.

Some of our Camping areas:

We have four areas of the country where we operate a camping type experience. The first is in the southern area on a 700 acre reserve at an elevation of 1200ft that has breath-taking views of the Pacific Ocean and Osa Peninsula. The weather is cool and the evenings are about as peaceful as they can get with mornings filled with the company of different species of birds and monkeys.

The second area and most popular area is The Cavern which is also located in the southern zone about an hour from the beach town of Dominical. This is a very unique experience. During this 2 day camping trip we actually rappel down a waterfall and sleep in a cavern behind a waterfall. How many times can you say you slept behind a waterfall? This is one of the most unique and amazing experiences you can imagine.

The third area and another very common area is the famous Pacuare River. The river is rated as one of the top 5 in the world and the camp site is one of our favorites. The area is a beautiful 4 acres surrounded by jungle and river. It is set up with paths and areas to walk. There is a very relaxing rancho with views of the river and hammocks. The tents are placed on wooden platforms keeping everyone off the ground. It is the true dream machine sleeping next to the river.

The fourth place is camping near the Arenal Volcano. During this experience you will see and hear the Arenal Volcano erupt all night. Sleeping outside lets you hear the full explosions as the surrounding areas are very quiet and all you hear are the eruptions and the lava rocks falling down the side of the volcano.
