EARTH University
Since 1990 EARTH University has been educating people from around the world concentrating on teaching sustainable agriculture with an effort to offer societies a more prosperous and just society. EARTH offers a world class scientific and technological education emphasizing the values inherent to environmental sustainability.
EARTH is known as a classroom without walls as the students experience open-air classrooms and celebrate everyday as Earth Day! The 8,340 acre campus is filled with banana plantations, laboratories, open-air classrooms, areas of reforestation, and residential lodging for faculty and staff.
The EARTH University was started by the Costa Rican government and is a private non-profit, international university which receives funding from the Costa Rican and US government, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
