Punta Mona

One of the hidden treasures on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica is the 85-acre reserve of Punta Mona. This is an ecolodge, permaculture farm, exotic fruit collection, and all around education center for those looking to learn about living off the grid in a sustainable manner.

Here you will see and learn how Punta Mona grows its own food and lives off the grid with eco-technology. The visitor's eyes will be open to a new way of seeing and treating the Earth. You'll get to Punta Mona via a 4 hour hike or a 30 minute boat ride from the southern Caribbean town of Manzanillo.

The Punta Mona was started by Stephen Brooks an American that had a vision of creating a sustainable community and educating the much needed youth of US who are being raised seperated from nature. Punta Mona makes an effort to reunite the kids with the natural world and ultimately offers a future of a more sustainable planet.
