Adventure Week

L&L One-Week Adventure is a program we have developed for the individual that wants to do as much as possible in just one-week. We offer 16 hrs of Spanish classes or 16 hrs of volunteer service in a number of different areas from orphanages, elder homes, homeless shelters, medical clinics, or fields of construction.

Our One-Week Adventure starts every Sunday night at an 8pm orientation in the school. All homestays for the One-Week Adventure program are within 150 yds of each other in Cacao with the school in the center keeping everyone close for the non-stop action. We are located in an adventure area close to the active volcano crater of Poas where we will walk up and look into the smoking crater.

Just five minutes from your homestay is the 200 ft waterfall of Los Chorros where you will perfect your waterfall rappelling skills jumping off the Los Chorros Falls as many times as you want until you perfect the rappel. Another nearby adventure is the Canopy Zip-Line tour. This is one of Costa Rica's most popular activities and attracts all tourists. The tour we picked has 14 cables and the last one is 1/2 kilometers long, which really sends you flying through the rainforest. Just past the zip-line area we'll take a hike that you will surely remember forever. The Peace Lodge is home to 5 of Costa Rica's most enchanting waterfalls. Walk under, behind, over, and almost through these pituresque falls, a rainforest filled with butterflies and beautiful flora and fauna.

Apart from our half-day trips we include two full day trips, Manuel Antonio National Park and whitewater rafting. Two very different tours but both filled with some of the best scenery that Costa Rica has to offer. At National Park Manuel Antonio you walk through the park that is located on the Pacific coast and is home to Costa Rica's most beautiful beach. This park is filled with wildlife such as monkeys, two and three-toed sloths, iguanas, and an endless amount of birds. After touring the park spend the day in paradise sunbathing on the pristine beach of Manuel Antonio.
