Youth Travel
One of the most important things we do is talk about the high level of biodiversity of Costa Rica and we make this known by comparing it to the number of different species in their home town compared to the number in Costa Rica. We also encourage that the history of place is understood. It is important that kids see the big picture from a young age. This enhances being able to understand things on a global scale when they are taught how the tropics affect the temperate zones. Natural History of your local town should be taught. Every area of this planet has a natural history and nothing has been there "forever". Take the time and do some research to find out what has happened in the last couple of million years and start youth travel from the earliest age possible. IMPORTANT: Youth travel should most importantly involve understanding where water comes from that they drink and where their food is delivered from. You might find out some things that will surprise you as well. Doing youth travel locally prepares and nurtures the mind for a future of understanding global issues.

Youth travel is a phrase that should be understood and encouraged from a very young age. Trips abroad to venture into all corners of the world during the young adult years, can always be nurtured with curiosity and the spirit of adventure through learning to travel at a young age. We are supporters of the "No Child Left Inside" movement and we feel that youth always benefit that much more when they understand their home and begin youth travel locally at a young age to nearby places such as local parks, environmentally damaged areas of your own locale, or just a look at the different ecosystems of your town.
